What happened in April?

April has been so good to me. I’ve been so busy that I skipped writing a blog for a month. Anyway, a quarter of the year has passed, and I couldn’t be more grateful enough to learn new things, to meet new people, and to open doors for opportunities.

What happened in April? Here.

My best friend and I are currently working on our self-published book entitled Shadowed Truths. This book is a compilation of our poems, essays, and bittersweet musings about life. This book comes with a shirt and it only costs 500php (plus shipping fee). Anyway, there is so much to look forward to this book because of 1. It is my first time to collaborate, and 2. It is my first poetry book.

Also, I become more active in writing short essays, and poems. The feeling is just so relaxing whenever I try to reach out to people through my thoughts and writing. See my Facebook page.

My April was really filled with activities. Every week, we were so busy preparing for the National Youth Day 2019 in Cebu. We had to attend recollection and the endless practices for our cultural presentation. After that, we also had to attend a send-off Mass before we formally proceed to this activity. Also, this was a week-long event. I hope to write my reflection on this activity ASAP.

In between these weekly preparations and meetings,  we also managed to execute all our ministry’s plan for the Holy Week. We had Alay Lakad (Pilgrimage) and Senakulo. It was never easy to prepare for these activities. It took us a month just to work on this. Sobrang hirap, pero God always provides enough strength and wisdom for us to do these! 🙂 Yay!

Our school year ended, and I couldn’t be more thankful for this. The recent batch of Grade School students graduated. We worked on our clearance, and as of this writing, I am praying that I could finish my research and receive my salary on time.

How was your April? Right now, I am looking forward to having a Meaningful May. Again, I deactivated my Facebook Account, uninstalled my Instagram, and planned to focus on writing.
